Hearts – Original Oil Pastel Drawings
Description:
Hearts is a pair of original oil pastel drawings created as a reflection on life, gratitude, and the fragile beauty of being alive.
Inspired by the experience of a loved one surviving a heart attack and awakening from a five-week coma, these pieces became a meditation on what truly matters. In an instant, life can change. The routines, worries, and expectations we carry can suddenly fade, leaving behind what has always been most important: our health, our loved ones, and the opportunity to fully live.
At the center of these works is the heart itself — a quiet miracle that beats tirelessly, carrying us through every moment of our lives. These drawings serve as a reminder to choose joy, to follow what calls us, and to live with gratitude for the time we have.
Though we often focus on our differences, these pieces return to a simple truth: beneath it all, our hearts beat the same.
An embodied prayer. A celebration of resilience, love, and being here.
